Hi Prasanth!

The info you provided along with the review is handy for someone buying Asus notebook. Thanks a lot.

Reply from Prasanth

Thank you those compliments if you are looking into buying the eeepc then get the latest won which has 8 hours battery and bigger screen resolution. Not bigger screen but bigger screen resolution.

So you get the compact and portability of the the eeepc without any compromises. Its a bit pricy than the regular ones but its well worth it.

thank you

Hi prasanth,

can you please tell whether we can run programs like visual studio 2008 and oracle on eeepc?

Reply from Prasanth

Its just a normal Computer with size limitations. If you can buy the bigger ones with 8Gb of disk space i think you can run those software. Installing xp takes about 3GB and you will get around 5Gb for programs. If you can put both those softwares under that disk space it will work. Its just like a normal computer. Its runs programs very quickly because its a flash disk and not a hard disk. But go for a bigger disk space one for your use. Also you can put in a pen drive to increase the capacity, but you can't install programs on to pen drive.

thank you
prasanth

Hi,

I found your review very useful. I am in teh US and am trying to buy eee pc from here. The prices are similar..but i think they have an 8gb machine here. Anyways, great read your blog. keep it coming.

Basil.

If you haven't bought the eeepc already wait a few more days and you will be able to buy the next version of eeepc which will have higher resolution screen. The screen size will stay the same but the resolution will be increased. which will make it an ideal machine for browsing and other useful stuff. I think its called eeepc next, and i heard that it will be priced the same.

thank you
prasanth
