iphone in India for 27999 Rs

You can get an unlocked iphone in India for the price mentioned above. I really would buy that if it was offered by a mobile company or someone who would have offered some warranty.

I heard all kind of problems with these devices some have problems with screen some with software etc.

And the bad part is once you buy this you can’t update the firmware. So you will be stuck at what ever firmware you get. So in February when apples adds third party app’s support you will be out of luck.

If you still want to get the iphone go ahead and let me know how its working in India

So lets all hope apple will release the iphone official in India soon and at a reasonable price.

Until then if you are looking for a Smart phone with cool features get the HTC 3300 which has GPS with maps of major Indian cities and Windows mobile 6 with 2mp camera, Fm radio, Bluetooth 2.0 etc. for 21699

Hi, I stay at San Fransisco; as per the press conference, Apple has no plans yet to launch iPhone in India this year. They are targeting for mid of next year as per the press conference.

Back in Indonesia, we also have unlocked iphone. But same with u, i’ll wait for iphone with warranty :)
Well, I think we have the same problem.

Sooner or later apple will realise the potential mobile market in asia and try to lauch their mobiles here earlier.

Even I wanted to buy iPhone but after seeing your review I will for for it still it lanches in india. How is HTC P 3400 mobile?

I am now using a windows mobile pda with windows
mobile 5 the only thing i miss in the phone is the bluetooth 2.0
so that i can use it with wireless headphones.

So the HTC p3400 has all the features and the above mentioned
ones too. For added bonus it even has gps.

Yes next year seem to be the time. Even then they have only mentioned asia. So it would take even longer to come to india. Hopefully by the end of 2008.

Other than the voice mail eveything else should work fine. All the others only use internet connections so you should be able to use them fine. Music shopping doesn’t work in india any way so wireless music store will not work too. Other than that i think the phone should work fine.

I have seen an iphone work on cellone and it works fine

I have no iphone so i have no idea how to change the settings. You best bet is to take to the place where you bought it and ask him to set it up so that you can use
airtel gprs.

But Edge is not yet available with all the providers and GPRS is also quite fast on iphone.

Getting the iphone is hard because of the price point. But they are easily available in places like Burma Bazaar in Bangalore and in the black market areas in other cities.
